After obtaining an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Guelph, Canada, Ms. Andrea Shepley went on to study Veterinary Technology at Seneca College, Canada. She has worked in the equine medical field as a licensed Veterinary Technician since 2002.
Ms. Shepley has spent the last 12 years employed at the San Dieguito Equine Group, a sport horse veterinary practice in southern California. She has extensive experience in orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, dentistry, and clinic management.
In 2013, Ms. Shepley completed a course of study in Equine Dental Prophylaxis and Equilibration. She was also certified through the International Association of Equine Dentistry (IAED). She returns to school every two years to maintain her dentistry certification and stays current in all aspects of nursing by attending conventions on an annual basis.
Ms. Shepley has spoken at the American Veterinary Medical Association, IAED and the AAEP/AAEVT Annual Conventions, and enjoys volunteering her time with non-profit organizations.
